This has become a huge part of my life these days, but would not trade it! There are jars everywhere in my house!
But I DEFINITELY NEVER forget about my vintage love. Found these AMAZING retro wooden half barrel storage stools and this avocado green Cosco kitchen stool at the flea market the other day. Wish I could find cute furniture at this price every week!!

Update: New Adventures
Just wanted to give a little update on my new business adventures I have been working on! I have been working hard for the past few months on my new ideas and I feel like my hard work is finally paying off this week!!
I sold my first order of ball jar candles on ETSY! 10 navy and 10 coral candles to a lady for her wedding. So excited that MY CANDLES are going to be used at someones wedding!
I also made my first two sales of painted and distressed ball mason jars this week! Both sold to ladies named Beth and one of them is shipping to Greenville, SC, where I live. I find both of those things slightly strange. :-)
I have also been working on adding as many cute color combinations to MY NEW SHOP as I can think of! (more coming soon! I am very excited to be working on a RAINBOW SET and NEON COLORS!) I like this navy, coral, and cream combo best of all! As you can tell my coral paint came in this week and I picked it up from this small local hardware store. I could definitely tell that they don't get a lot of customers who are young and picking up one can of coral spray paint. I could also tell that the people running the shop thought I was out of place! Everyone else in the shop was buying some type of tool or farming material in bulk. I grew up in the country though and went to small hardware stores like that all the time with my grandfather(everyone there always knew him by name) I felt right at home. ;-) Maybe if I order enough paint from them they will get to know me.
Lastly. I am also pleased that I have sold around 15-20 things in my first week of having my booth at THE DOWNTOWN MARKET ASHEVILLE, NC! I had no idea what to expect from this booth, but it has exceeded my expectations!! I will have to start making weekly trips up the mountain I believe! Tomorrow will be my second trip!
Well back to paintin' jars and makin' candles! Have a lovely Sunday!
Ps. Had amazing luck yesterday at some estate sales! Pics and stories to come! 'Estate saling' is always an adventure.

Who Doesn't Love Avocado Green?
Estate sale are picking back up, YEAH! I have been to several in the past few weekends. I am noticing a trend. Plastic and 1970's colors. Don't get me wrong I have a love for avocado green, harvest gold and bright orange...but they are not my favorite. I have found so many 1970's colors things in the past few weeks I had to share my lovely...( and dare I say groovy)...finds! :-)
Who doesn't need a vintage avocado green dish pan?!?!
Libbey Green Flower Glasses!
Plastic Foley Utensils.
Anchor Hocking Soreno Glasses!
All are available in my ETSY shop. Please check them out and make your 1970's kitchen dreams come true! :-)

The Little Things In Life
I never, ever buy anything on Ebay. I have faith I will find things one day in my thrifting, but..... I had to have these hanging elves!! I saw them for the first time a few weeks ago online. I have no idea why I love them so much. Possibly it is the fact that I can hang them on random things and their little booty will stick out! :-) haha Can't wait for them to arrive!

My Dream Car...
I always say I am going to drop out of life, buy a vintage VW van and become a professional protester... Well...I will at the very least have the van one day.
And when I am driving it, I will pretend I am these people in the vintage advertisement. :-)
On the same, but oh so different note. I found this cute Lego Van on Pinterest.
Too bad it's 162 bucks on Amazon! $162 for LEGOS?! That is why I wish I lived in the time of the advertisement above!

Vintage Rubbermaid Turquoise Laundry Basket
I found this awesome Rubbermaid turquoise laundry basket this morning at an estate sale for 2 bucks!
It's so tiny!
I was so thrilled to spot it. It was filled with a ton of jar rings that they were trying to sell in the basket. I went over to the guy and asked if I could buy just the laundry basket. I swear sometimes at estate sales these folks think I'm crazy. We settled on 2 bucks and I went on my way thrilled! I can totally understand how most people do not understand or share my enthusiasm on finding these things, and I am most definitely okay with that! I think I will be using it in my turquoise/red kitchen for dirty kitchen towels! :-)

Let me just say...When I saw this dish at a yard sale today...I was more than excited. Then I asked the price and could hardly contain myself. TWO DOLLARS! I recently saw one selling for around $70 on Ebay. I love a good deal! :-) Sorry for the bad cell phone picture, I will post more later! Now time to make room on the shelf!

Two of the Same
In my thrifting, I sometimes find it interesting how I find the same or very similar things. I could find five of the same items over a week or two and the I will not see it again for months. My most recent similar finds are Kromex canisters.
I found these yellow Kromex canisters(for sale on my Etsy) a few weeks ago and the following week I found some black spice jars.
This company made a turquoise set of these, I would love to find those one day!!

I NEEEEEED IT
I really like ABC's new show Pan Am. Love the vintage style. Most of all I LOVE the vintage Pan Am bags! I need one! I am going to find one some day at and estate sale or something. If not I will probably cave in and pay $100.00 or more on Ebay. :-) You should check the show out if you have not seen it!

Sour Cream Update
I recently blogged about reading an article in Martha Stewart about collecting sour cream glasses(Link). I never thought I would find one...but I blogged about my first yellow one and now I found another! My birthday was last week and I went antique shopping in Landrum, NC. On the way I passed this farm house with these two old guys having a yard sale (by the way it was Thursday). I got this glass for 25 cents!
I was very dirty but cleaned up great! I also had a very long conversation with the two old men about tattoos. They liked my Rosie and told me they wanted woody the wood pecker, and the other one wanted a monkey with a lawn mower shaving the chest hair off his chest!
And this was my birthday present to myself...
Pyrex
Name: Black Snowflake Space Saver
Type: Oblong Casserole

Price...Paid too much! :-)
