It's Been A Lonnnnnng Time...

Well Kids.  It has been quite awhile since I have blogged...blogger almost locked me out of my account, but after about 7 hours(or 20 mins) I'm finally logged back in!! I make no new years promise to blog more, because I will not keep it.  But we shall do a small recap of the last few months of my life.

Most of my day consist of paintin' mason jars!
I got some new Brooks running shoes a few months ago!  Hot pink was not my first color choice, but good running shoes make all the difference!

My Johnny moved back to SC!
I just got back from a great weekend with my college friends!  Miss them!

Moved my antique booth in to the new building.  The Downtown Market Asheville, NC

My Halloween costume (thrown together in 5 mins)  I call it "Pissed off Susie Homemaker"

Vintage Frame Chalkboards!

I have been busy working on some new projects!
These are vintage gold metal frames that I painted and turned into chalkboards.  I think they are pretty neat!  I love when I can mix my vintage with my crafty! ;-)
Also, my ball jar candles now come in HOT PINK!
All are available in my Etsy Shop- The Retro Redhead!

Pool Party Monday!

These are the reasons when I love being self employed and having lots of friends in the service industry!  While most people were heading off to their 9 to 5 jobs yesterday we were gearing up for a pool party!
James.  He looks like Jesus with his hair down. :-)
Also, the loser in me noticed the "Ball" logo on my friend Jessi's Dale's can. haha  I assume Ball cans them, which is pretty awesome because I do love Oscar Blue's beer!  I pointed it out to Jessi and she said "yeah girl, that's the logo on all the stuff you do for your business" ha...things like that make me happy!  Now it's Tuesday...back to work!  Working on a custom order for a wedding for 60 candles and 30 painted jars...RUSHED.  AH! I may loose my sanity this week. ;-)

4th of July Fun

I got to spend a few days with the family over the week of the 4th.  We ate some amazing food including homemade banana ice cream and homemade fried pickles.  (Both of which I helped make!)

Check out the vintage Lipton sun tea jar in the back of this photo.  Also, the vintage toaster that my parents still use!  My mother will tell you all the time about how she use to warm up her pop tarts in college with that toaster!!  That toaster as 40 + years on it...they just don't make em like that use to! OH...also the ice cream maker is vintage too.  My father can tell you exactly how much he paid for it from Eckard drug! ha

Jars, Jars, Jars- Painted Mason Jars

This has become a huge part of my life these days, but would not trade it!  There are jars everywhere in my house!

But I DEFINITELY NEVER forget about my vintage love.  Found these AMAZING retro wooden half barrel storage stools and this avocado green Cosco kitchen stool at the flea market the other day. Wish I could find cute furniture at this price every week!!
